Griffin Brown is pleased to offer this free online utility for quality assuring XML documents conforming to version 2.1 of ONIX for Books standard from BIC/EDItEUR.
This free service allows users to submit an ONIX XML instance - the application will then apply over 300 quality tests and produce a report.
Note the following limitations apply to this service:
- It is experimental and no warranty is made for its performance or availability - use at your own risk
- It is hosted on a slowish server - checking a product can take around 30 seconds
- The only accreditation guidelines it applies are UK ones (taken from the 2.0 accreditation documents)
- The supplied instance must have a root element of <ONIXMessage>
This validator supports short element names (your XML will be transformed on-the-fly to a reference name version prior to validation).
Specify ONIX file to validate (ONIX for Books, v 2.1 only):
Privacy Policy. All submitted XML instances are deleted from our servers during the QA process. Except for diagnostics, troubleshooting and performance measuring purposes, neither are any QA reports retained by Griffin Brown; these in any event are never disseminated beyond the XMLProbe development team.
